On this canyon tour we follow the riverbed throughout the Hafrahvammar canyon discovering this amazing place from a completely new angle.
After the Kárahnúkar dam was completed in 2008 a new possibility for hiking opened. During a one month period the excess water in Hálslón reservoir overflows the Kárahnjúkar dam making the canyon inaccessible. That makes this canyon tour all the more special.
