Driving along the South Coast of Iceland in a big 4×4 vehicle is an adventure in itself. On a clear day you will have a stunning view of Eyjafjallajökull (the famous volcano) and the fairy tale like Vestmannaeyjar archipelago for most of the drive.
We stop at all the most important sites; Seljalandsfoss, Gljúfrabúi and Skógafoss waterfalls. You will see and experience all the contrasting landscape the South Coast has to offer; lunar lavafields, geothermal areas, black beaches, glaciers, volcanoes, vibrant green moss spreads, waterfalls and perhaps even a Puffin if you are lucky!
The Paragliding option:
Paragliding in tandem with an Instructor is a unique way to experience Iceland from the best view! Anyone can do it, no experience needed. Enjoy silently gliding with the birds over Seljalandsfoss, Skógafoss or the black beach Reynisfjara in Vík í Mýrdal. For an added adrenaline rush, ask your pilot to do wing-overs or spirals!

Airtime: the Paragliding flight is up to 20 minutes depending on wind conditions
Pick up: is between 08:00 – 08:30
Paragliding Location: we have a choice of Paragliding sites along the South Coast, we choose our site based on weather conditions each day
Minimum age: under 18 years need parents written permission for Paragliding
Weight limits: 20-120 kg
Included: Pick-up, transport & guide, one Flight (optional). Lunch-stop (meal not included), all safety equipment for the Paragliding flight

Small Print:
The tour will have a flexible schedule to accommodate for the Paragliding part of the experience. Your pilot will let your driver/guide know when and where the Paragliding is most likely to happen, so you can relax and enjoy the tour as it unfolds. For the non flyers in the group, you can choose to enjoy the thrill as observers, or explore more sights while the others get airborne.
Due to how fast the weather changes in Iceland we can never guarantee a flight. If we do not manage to get you airborne during the tour, you have a choice: a full refund for the Flying part of the tour or a voucher open for any of our Free Flying options valid for 2 years.
A Tandem Paragliding Flight is a legitimate Introductory flight operated by licensed Paragliding Instructor pilots from the Reykjavík Free Flying Club.
