MUST SEE IN ICELAND

Tuesday nights are for movies

If you want to take a break from all the sightseeing in Iceland and just sit back and do nothing, there are quite a few cinemas you can got to. The cinema is also a great option if the weather is shitty, which happens quite regularly in Iceland.

But don’t go to the movies just any old day because you can save a bit of money if you do it right. You should most definitely catch a blockbuster on Tuesdays because you can get a ticket to a 2D movie for just 950 ISK, instead of 1490 ISK. That means you save 540 ISK! You can’t pick that up off the street, as we say in Iceland.

And if your budget is really tight, I recommend you go to Bónus grocery store, the cheapest one in Iceland, and buy candy there, since it’s much cheaper than buying it at the cinema. You can find Bónus in various places in Iceland. Find your store on Bónus’ website.

And if you’re wondering where to catch a movie you can see a list of cinemas in Iceland on the Icelandic Film Center’s website. Have fun – on a budget!
